Lesson #1 Hard or Easy

The Khasi language may be hard for those who do not use the Latin alphabet in their native language. But it should not take long for the learner to catch up as most of the letters have equivalent pronunciations in the learner's language or can easily be explained.

The Khasi language is not very hard to learn, especially for those who use the Latin alphabet in their native language.

Lesson #2 Tips

  1. Become a friend of a Khasi to practice Khasi conversations.
  2. Practice these lessons with your Khasi friend.
  3. Do not learn and/or use offensive words in the Khasi language.
  4. English, Hindi and Urdu have a few influences on the Khasi language therefore some words will sound familiar like slipar (slipper, चप्पल), duwai (दुआ, prayer), kali (गाड़ी, car), etc.
